just contacted Drudge
That link came from the site. It’s weird they haven’t asked existing donors already. Is McDaniel going to fight it out?

>>You assume wrong.<<
Thank you, Agnes, for your description of the actual voting process.
All I would point out is that my post wasn’t assuming anything at all. I was just questioning whether others’ assumptions (and as you can see, there was a lot of assuming going on) were correct.
Your state’s process is definitely different than my state’s, although we also are stupid enough to allow an open primary. Why we would let a DEM choose a GOP candidate eludes me, entirely.
From your description, it should be easy to verify who voted illegally, although there’s still the issue of who they voted for on June 24th. Still, if the number of illegal votes cast by DEM primary voters far exceeds the margin of Cochran’s victory, it should be possible to get the result overturned.
By the way, if I were the judge in the matter, I’d call Cochran into court and have him personally explain why he felt entitled to request the state’s taxpayers to spend the additional money on yet another runoff, given that it was almost certainly due to his staff’s shenanigans that the first runoff had to be overturned. In other words, I’d try to shame him into doing the right thing, and conceding to McDaniel (assuming the number of illegal votes cast far exceeds his victory margin, of course.)
The GOPe should take zero pride in “winning” in this manner. I hope a few of them start to figure that out in the next couple of days.
These are the concern trolls. SCREW THEM

I might suggest less time on FR and more time investigating your issue which seems far fetched. Voting rights lawsuits would be flying if what your saying is accurate. You should be able to find a pro bono attorney to take up issue in a split second if what you say has merit.

True the Vote contact info. I emailed and included a link to the story. Can’t hurt.
The problem with Connie Cochran remaining in custody of the records until Monday is that all manner of document alteration may occur. There are strict rules regarding the handling of ballots, but these voter lists are unlikely to enjoy the same protections.
For example, lists could be replaced with forged lists, with the connivance of Cochran-friendly polling clerks who could supply their initials.
Me too!
>>The problem with what you wrote...<<
And the problem with what you wrote is that Mississippi has an open primary. If (turning out to be a big “if”, but if) a DEM voter chose to vote in the GOP primary on June 3rd, then that voter was entitled to vote in the runoff election.
It does appear, however, that there is a record of who voted DEM and who voted GOP on June 3rd.
Another Note: The Dem Poll Book being shown in the photo isn’t necessarily that record, since it appears to just record whether a person voted. From what Black Agnes wrote (post #277) the records do exist, however.
Exactly. This requires police intervention to stop these ballots being destroyed
That would be such a blessing for VA and America! And we need some blessings about now!
TRUE THE VOTE CALLS ON MISSISSIPPI GOP CHAIR TO PRESENT ELECTION RECORDS FOR INDEPENDENT REVIEW
26th of June 2014
LAUREL, MS. — June 26, 2014: True the Vote (TTV), the nation’s leading voters rights and election integrity organization, today released a letter submitted to Mississippi Republican Party Chairman Joe Nosef calling for the release of absentee balloting information for independent review prior to election certification.
“In order to avoid potential state and federal legal challenges we request that you preserve all absentee ballot applications, absentee ballots and accompanying mailing envelopes until the challenges to them can be resolved, the letter stated. Furthermore, we request that you not certify this election until this matter can be satisfactorily resolved.
“This issue strikes at the heart of election integrity,” True the Vote President Catherine Engelbrecht said. “Confidence in our voting process risks damage beyond repair when politicians of either party are willing to flout election laws in the name of self-preservation. Voters deserve to know that election processes and protocols were followed especially in a close outcome.”
The letter, submitted by Bernie, Maynard & Parsons attorney L. Eades Hogue, asks that Chairman Nosef reply by Friday, June 27. County party officials across the state were copied on the letter.
True the Vote has made available an online incident report for Mississippi voters currently contacting the organization to address concerns and complaints about the recent Mississippi elections. TTV will collect and review concerns shared and make them available to appropriate Mississippi officials. A digital copy of the letter submitted to Chairman Nosef has been made available here.
True the Vote (TTV) is an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) voters rights organization, founded to inspire and equip volunteers for involvement at every stage of our electoral process. TTV empowers organizations and individuals across the nation to actively protect the rights of legitimate voters, regardless of their political party affiliation.
A better resolution (if possible) is for Cochran to NOT come to his senses and a recount proves that Cochran won by fraud and that McDaniels is deemed the true winner. This would be better because it would expose the corruption of the RINOs and RNCe.
I don't want them to concede. I want them to be beaten and humiliated. (Of course this entire premise assumes a recount is allowed and is performed correctly without Cochran machinery corrupting the results)
True The Vote needs to get all their people on this.
For the sake of my blood pressure, I’m trying to cut back on my time on FR. Recent events haven’t exactly brought out the best in some of us, including yours truly. However, what I said about how things are done in my county is both true and accurate. I can’t address the issue of potential lawsuits, since I don’t know of any cases where a person’s vote has been used against him. Your mileage may vary.
Thanks “Dude”
So, from what you’re saying, the Democrat Polling Book is the actual official record of who voted a Dem ballot on June 3rd, and there’s a GOP Polling Book that has the same bar codes (voters info) that records those who took a GOP ballot in the runoff.
That’s great, since all that’s needed now is the complete stack of Dem poll books so the total of illegally cast ballots can be added up.
I’d just add that none of this was obvious from the outset. Thanks for filling in the required details, and Black Agnes also. (Maybe part of the reason for apparent frustration is that I jumped into the discussion around post 200 or so...it could have all been hashed out by that time, I suppose, but 200 posts is a lot to read just to see if something’s already been dealt with.)
