She thought about it a lot.
In the depths of her depression, Kelly Rindfleisch, the former county government official marked by the left with a political scarlet letter, considered killing herself.
She just wanted it all to stop the browbeating prosecutors, the mainstream media feeding frenzy, the crushing legal bills, the shadow of a jail sentence hanging over her. The betrayal.
There were times I felt like I wasnt going to make it through. They drove me to the absolute depths of depression, Rindfleisch told Wisconsin Reporter during a recent interview at a diner in downtown Sun Prairie, a Madison suburb.
She agreed to meet here, about 15 miles southwest of her Columbus home, because Sun Prairie is just far enough from the vicious whisper of state politics. .
Being here, talking like this, could cost Rindfleisch her freedom. She doesnt care. She said she needs to tell her story of what a team of vindictive, partisan prosecutors has done to her in the name of law enforcement.
I may end up in jail for talking to you, but Im not going to sit and let Judge (Neal) Nettesheim intimidate me into not telling the people in Wisconsin what they are doing, what he did, what (Milwaukee County District Attorney) John Chisholm did, what those investigators did, Rindfleisch said.
Im not going to stay quiet. If I go to jail, so be it. It only proves that they are corrupt.

It's a long read, but gives a real look at what it's like to be on the sharp end of the left-wing spear. It is frustrating that those who would ruin a persons life just to score political points can't be charged with HATE crimes, because what else can this be?
Despite it all, this brave woman's advice?
Dont back down, she said. The more of us that tell our stories, the more exposed this whole rotten investigation will be.

In a related story the DA had to make the following statement today.
“In the statement released Thursday on behalf of Schmitz, his attorney said that “Governor Walker was not a target of the investigation.”
“At no time has he been served with a subpoena,” Crocker wrote of Walker.”
The people that destroyed her are mostly working inside state, county or city offices and they do the exact same thing she was convicted of - use their office time to pursue political work of one type or another. She just happened to get caught up in the probe - which is itself simply a political operation (rather than a lily white oh gee what have we here thing.) So, I guess if she gets jail, then too should all of the partisan hacks who used the probe to destroy their political enemies get jail time.
Unchecked and unchallenged, this is the way it will be in all government activity. This starts from the very top - politics of personal destruction - and is also a textbook example of the application of Alinsky’s principles for radicals. This coming November is a major step in taking our country back......if we have the guts to do it.
Ask Tom Delay, his conviction was just overturned a few weeks ago. He was ruined by an democratic operative, that happened to be a DA.
It’s the the left got speared.
Oops...
It’s TIME the left got speared.
Dear Braindead GOP, Your supporters, your Governor and other GOP officials were under attack by vicious, partisan, out of control government officials operating under color of authority. If you don't stand up for yourselves and your allies and impeach these prosecutors, why should any sane person stand up to the government to support the GOP?
Do you get it? If no, buy a clue. If yes, get to d*mn work and do something.
John Doe probe nearly drives a tarfet to suicide. This is a compelling read.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest list.
The thing I walk away from with this kind of story is that the republicans continue to refuse to try all that hard at winning. Its not like the situation these republicans are accused of participating is rare or one sided in Wisconsin politicks.
One situation Im aware of...
WAVE ("Wisconsin Anti Violence Effort" an anti-gun group* funded by The Joyce Foundation) has had connections to the democrats. When I contracted to the state I would receive emails from government employees. One email Im still in possession of originated from a Manitowoc County (Health and Family Services?) office that spent their time at work acting as activists on the taxpayer dime for WAVE.
I wouldn't think it would be all that hard for any lawyer with standing and working in this discipline to start the same kind of witch hunt to make the same kind of contorted connection between Joyce/WAVE/campaign funds/government employees.
At that time the prime beneficiaries would have likely been Doyle/Barrett/Falk in the race against McCallum. Admittedly that's awhile back but, I seriously doubt that anything has changed.
What activism/fund raising still occurs on the taxpayer dime for which organizations and why has no republican counter-launched any investigations? The "rebublicans must play nice" faction is too small to seriously consider as the reason for not going forward with an investigation. If secret ridiculously tenuous connections to a made up scandal is all that's required to start then, why aren't we similarly participating, not so much to smear one candidate but, at least to gain democrat cooperation in shutting down this avenue of attack?
The one answer I keep coming back to is that they aren't intended as real opposition in the first place.
