The only way out of this, whether it's in the Mississippi race or whether it's in the 2016 general, is to leave anger and desire for vengeance (which really is what motivates conservatives to vote Democrat because they're so angry at the GOPe for betraying them) at the door, put it behind, and focus SOLELY on voting FOR people even if they belong to a no-name party or are "independent", and even if they don't have much chance of winning, who, if they are elected, will MOVE RIGHT
If a scheme so egregiously contemptive of the mass of Republican primary voters is permitted to bear fruit I'm Mississippi, they will replicate it each and every contested primary where cross over voting is allowed.
