Young people today will bear the scars of this fundamental transformation for years; they wont breed, they wont buy a home, and theyll probably regard all jobs as temporary in nature.
I am no longer young enough to be a young person, but even I feel that way to some degree. I have been extremely blessed: my job is stable and I work for good people. I was able to save up a 10% down payment and buy a home and, given where I was moving too, buying was cheaper than renting so it made sense.
Still, it wasn't a sure thing that I'd be able to swing it. Part of it was having an arrangement where I was able to live rent free for a little while and save money, part of it was financial discipline, and part of it was finding a house that was selling for about 25% less than it should have (motivated sellers).
I believe God had His hand on the situation, otherwise it couldn't have worked.
Even so...given the family budget these days, I don't see how we will be able to afford children. One at the most, and we will have to frugal.
Inflation, taxation, and inability of wages to pace inflation, are causing America to not reproduce. We are a dying people in the literal sense of the term.

I understand what you are saying; I got married making a low salary, and a few years later started having children (which reduced our income drastically). It is tough, but I know that if we didn’t do it like that we would just be paying for other people’s children instead (through higher taxes).
May God guide your decisions going forward, and look after you both.

(Affirmative action is economic warfare against white males (and therefore white families).)
