The comment that started this sub-thread:
Like a good European, he also lauds the antisemtic ramblings of Mel Gibson. He even claims moral equivalence with the Jews as if we say f...ing Germans (read without the ellipses) or someping along that line. , with the implication that no Jew, anywhere at any time, has ever said anything negative about anyone else's race, religion, ethnicity, or goy-ishness.
And my response was that some Jews (not all Jews, or even most Jews, or even a major percentage) also engage in ethnic comments. Are you saying that no Jew anywhere has ever told a Polish joke? Has ever talked about "that shiksa" her nice Jewish son is dating? Etc, etc.
incidentally, your example/anecdote, if true, is an extremely poor one. Blacks use the "n word" with great frequency. I warn blacks when they use the "n word" that they shouldn't say it because they give an excuse for the David Duke's; etc., to say such things.
Btw... yiddish is not derogatory whether calling a black man a scwvartzer or a white man a visser. If the first yiddish word is so derogatory, then so is the second; however, no one says that this is.
