No.
Unless, of course, a huge group of “conservative” purists sit at home in November pouting because their guy didn’t win the nomination. Perhaps there are enough old grumps to throw the election to the dems, but I doubt it.
(”Conservative” is in quotes, because a true conservative is also a realist who understands that taking oneself out of the game is petulant and selfish and scores points for the other side.)
No, a 'true conservative' allows people the judgement of their own conscience and doesn't lecture them because they won't behave in the manner he so self-righteously dictates.
At this point if you are a conservative in MS, you have 3 choices. 1) a write in vote for McDaniel, 2) vote for the democrat to screw over Cochran or 3) do not vote for that race. Anyone voting for Cochran is PART OF THE PROBLEM and a RINO in default at this stage of the game with all we know about Cochran. No more of this “lesser of two evils” BS!!!!!
Is it “realistic” to choose to vote between two candidates who are both committed to the decline and fall of the nation, albeit at different rates of speed....
I would call it “insanity” to make such a decision.
