The first step conservatives have to take is to realize they are not alone. the second is to realize that conservatism isn’t black magic with some mysterious Codex that will unlock hidden truths. The truths are there in plain sight. The high priests are all of us.

I know of a Nation that was founded on this kind of thinking.

As for the 80%...that will require some more thought. To me, a Constitutional conservative is transparent and not a potential spy. We will agree on enough to stand side by side. It's the 80/10/5/5 "conservatives" such as Lindsey Graham that make me skeptical of the other 80 percenters. R2z

I think I need to clarify something about 80%

I am absolutely not saying go to the ACU look up a rating and vote. I am saying the polar OPPOSITE of that.

We are all able to see foe ourselves what the actions od a given pol are and list them accordingly. LG can ‘vote right’ all day long and pull down high numbers on paper.

The reality of that number does not account for his fighting like a demon against what he votes for until the issue is a sure loser, then voting for it and saying “SEE!!! I voted for what YOU wanted!!!”

Sure...after tanking the subject of the vote.

That is not a point in the conservative column. It is about 10 in the non. I am saying judge on actions, add up those actions and decide. And do not cook your own books to get a result that torpedos the whole point of the exercize.
