Very disappointed about McDaniel’s loss. I was sure he had it in the bag. All the polls looked good until right up to the end. McDaniel had national potential down the road and now his career is stalled. Any chance he could run a write in campaign? Not many people vote in run off elections!
Well, as I got hollered at for saying back when everyone was spiking the ball over Cantor’s defeat, there are going to be setbacks and disappointments as well as victories. For every race like todays where the incumbent prevails by a thin margin, there will be a handful of other incumbents shivering in their boots. And, when it’s an open primary like this, the dirty tricks element has to be considered.
It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
It's possible, but we all got mad when Lisa Murkowski did that. Let's just let the waste of skin campaign, and we can see by how much he loses on election day when some conservatives don't bother to check his box.
Maybe that write-in idea like happened in Alaska could be a possibility because I’m sure not into giving up and giving more and more elections to Democrats.
What’s the end game for you stay home on election day zealots/idiots?
Lessons from Lisa (how she won a write-in)

He DID have it in the bag. We all know, the Democrats and GOPe included, that McDaniel is the legitimate victor, but the "winner" is Cochran, the same way liberalism, representing a tyrannical minority, always wins: by cheating.
The question is: will the American majority wake up in time to resolve it peacefully? Will America put forth a "second" party alternative to the like-minded Democrat-Republican pro-government usurping of freedom? I like a Second Party because our 2nd Amendment is so crucial, and would be a uniting commonality.
The Republican party is past its prime unless it is transformed by a miracle in the next two years. As long as guys like Cochran, Barbour, and Romney are "Republican," the party is moot. It's image is exactly what it is: a hypocritical opportunist.
Legitimate, average voters know this, even if it sails over other heads. They stay home or vote third party.
They would be transformed if they had something to vote FOR.
"Republican" is an albatross.
