He lost the Democrat primary but then I’m not sure he even knew he was running in that one.

I am reminded of an old proverb. Something like: “If you try to kill the King, you better kill him dead.” Daniel had his shot, and almost pulled it off. But he didn’t put Cocharan away when he had his chance.
