We just need a bunch of people who can lie about what they believe enough to fool the demonrats.

No need to lie. Just change your name to Tyrone Jamal Washington or Jose Manuel Labor. Then post a picture of your "Life Partner" on your Facebook page.

A lot of these Rino's run unopposed in their safe districts. The democrats don't even run candidates in some of them. A tea party conservative could run unopposed in a democrat primary.

You have no proof. FreeRepublic used to have more thoughtful people, but now it's full of overwrought drama queens slinging accusations with zero proof.

Stick your head back in the sand or wherever the hell you happen to stick it.

Guess you are just another one of the losers who think the country is going to hell by chance, idiot.

The ship doesn't turn over night. We win where we can.

But it appears to have done just that in Mississippi tonight.

Look, the Democrat machine in any state doesn't just decide to turn over its operation to support Republicans. Republicans have been historically bad at get-out-the-vote operations. Do you really think that they reached into Mississippi Democrat quarters and turned out the vote for Cochran?

What this means is that the two parties coordinated and cooperated. Imagine that? What does that say about how Congress is being led? Why does the GOP turn to Democrats to keep this seat when it was safe to begin with, when they are beat down day after day by Harry Reid and the Democrats in the Senate?

Doesn't this seem a bit too cozy? Does this look like the behavior of a party that wants to win and take over, or a party that just wants to get by and keep their own ground?

If Republicans do retake the Senate in November despite themselves, it will be because the voters kicked out the Democrats. But wait and see... Republicans will be led by the nose by Democrats in the minority, just as they are when Democrats are in the majority.

I’m sick and tired of voting for the lesser of two evils and simply voting for a Republican because he isn’t a Democrat. The RINOS aren’t going to do a damn thing of moving the conservative message forward and give nothing but lip service to it.

I don’t live in MS so basically my opinion on this race doesn’t matter, but what happened tonight in MS makes me so angry, angry at what the Republican party has been consumed by, its like they forgot what they stand for..Glen Beck said something a few years ago that really stood out with me, he said that the Republican party is becoming overrun with progressives, just like the Democrat party got taken over by Communists, the same thing is happening to the GOP..and after what I saw tonight, perhaps Beck was right..question is, what can we do to save the GOP and save this country..because the Dems who crossed over and voted for Cochran, that is one thing, but Republicans voted for this guy too, what does that say about them

Aren't there election laws making it illegal for candidates to coordinate with each other against another candidate?

If the Mississippi Democrat party has a candidate in the race, wouldn't it be illegal for them to work with Cochran too, to get out the Democrat vote for him also?

“The RAT crossover votes in a GOP primary carried Cochran tonight.
Does that make you feel warm and fuzzy for the GOP?”

Not at all. It just makes me distrust them (even more).

I have a feeling, though, that any win gained deviously will turn sour in time. The conscience is always present as a reminder.

No...you may be thinking about PACs that can't endorse candidates. They can't coordinate with the candidate they are supporting. This is what the DA charged Scott Walker with.

Please explain how, for the first time in modern history, splitting the GOP vote guarantees a win for the conservative.

I’m not favoring Cochran here, but I’m trying to get to your line of logic.

“How can you ask people to vote for a guy that did race baiting robot calls to get democrat votes in a republican primary? I wouldn’ t vote for him whether it affected control of the senate or not.”

I’m not asking anyone to vote for Cochran... I’m merely asking how splitting the GOP vote in the general results in a win for anyone but the democrat.

What “GOP vote” do you refer to? GOP voters or the progressive GOPe/Dem coalition vote?

To continue party line GOP voting at this point is foolish and a border line abusive relationship. The GOP is broken. Until it is fixed, it really doesn’t matter what the Dems do. A broken GOP will has no interest in being an engaged opposition party. Without an engaged GOP, we have a one party Dem state regardless of who is in the White House.
