I’m assumming that ISIS is the one that captured and executed him. It does not specifically say that in the article, just Iraqi revolutionaries. Exactly why would ISIS care about the judge that executed the secularist strongman Sadaam Hussein? Further proof that this group is not just driven by religious idealogy. There’s probably a lot of Fedayeen and Baathist in this bunch.

Yup, it’s centered in the ancient Sunni vs Shia feud. Lots of groups aligning to go after and remove Maliki and his government. Upon which they’ll all star fighting each other over who gets ultimate control.
