Seems the guy the US just captured and is now taking for a slow boat ride home after every journalist in history had interviewed him “he was so hard to find” Kattalah was actually in charge of security at the “special mission” in Benghazi. This story never ends and keeps giving more and more and more.
Prior to the Benghazi attacks, the U.S. relationship with those linked to Khattalah’s group was so comfortable that it was the February 17th Martyrs Brigade, an Ansar al-Sharia offshoot, that officially served as the armed quick reaction force within the U.S. Special Mission in Benghazi.

About the corrupting influence of D.C. on seemingly honest and well intentioned people, I think it goes to Obama’s underlings using “the Chicago way” on them. They go directly at key people and decapitate organizations set up to protect us. Such as AARP was a bulwark to represent seniors against government but it got compromised in no time. All the Inspectors General have been compromised by direct threats and intimidation. (”either shut up or resign or we will ruin you” - and media helps the regime enforce it). I fear that the NRA will be similarly co-opted. A few rounds of golf and invites to meet Beyonce at White House may turn the staunchest leaders away from the quaint goal of representing ‘the people’ (a chump’s errand).
To me it started pre-Obama with Ken Starr. Who would have ever thought they could bamboozle and flummox an Independent Counsel? Certainly Reagan got no where with Walsh and Dubya and Rove were nearly run out of town by Fitzgerald. Bottom line is we can’t count on anyone except ourselves to make the difference.
Something is dramatically wrong that many of our Tea party pats and most congresspeople seem corrupt after a few years in dc. We need a new bunch of reps that can’t be corrupted to in charge up there if this country is to survive.
Maybe we could start with Ben Carson and Sarah Palin.
There have been some candidates who have run for office on very little money. In Maryland we had a guy who is (strangely enough) liberal and yet almost completely in line with the Tea Party who got 20,000 Dem votes in the Senate primary a few years ago, spending $450 on his campaign.
The guy who won in Virginia was outspent by orders of magnitude as was the guy in the special Fla. election. They both won.
The money thing CAN BE circumvented. No one knows exactly how just yet but just consider this—
If Sarah Palin were to run for president she would already have between 30 and 35 percent of the vote without spending a dime. So how do you get the magical next 16 to 21 percent without selling out to special interests?
I’m saying there IS a way. (I just don’t know what it is.)

I did not know that this guy was in charge of the “special mission” which was, as I understand, sneaking weapons into Syria through Turkey.
Whatever the case, it was a botched up mess, like Fast and Furious and every other lamebrain scheme those idiots get into with the help of genius Eric Holder.

If things get any worse we will have to resurrect both Dirty Harry and steal Jack Bauer from “24” to get things straight in the US. If we last that long.
We have no “Fourth Estate” media that that acts as the watchdog of the Republic. Rather, they have become the paid for and politically joined at the hip propagandists of the Left.
IMHO, that is the biggest problem we have today (and I big reason I post this thread week after week, year after year. Just be being around these press people, I know their obvious and extreme biases, their deliberate misleading tactics, the blatant omissions of what is going on and worthy of at least a few minutes of discussion, and their palpable, evident cheerleading of democrats and clear disdain of conservatives.)
Nixon had Woodward and Bernstein.
Reagan had Sam Donaldson’s constant screaming at the helicopter.
Clinton had it’s only about sex, a private matter.
Bush had the NYT’s 63 straight days of Abu Grahb on the front page.
Obama has Goebbels and Pravda.

I watched the Ways and Means hearing on Friday. One example. A Congressman asked about the serial number on Lerner's hard drive. Koskinen answered that he did not know that hard drives HAD serial numbers. Here is a wide open door.
Not only does every HD have a serial number, that number exists somewhere today. How does IRS document who has what hardware? Who has custody of the logs? What is the procedure for destroying government data storage that still has data on it?
They should be asking questions that they ALREADY KNOW the answers to and from then attack the lies and professed ignorance they get back from the witness.
They didn’t get there by being stupid. They relied on their voting constituents to take that mantle.

But, he admits that his family is “not Republican”.
Wallace points out he is “less conservative than (Cantor)”.
McCarthy evades the data.
He lies in the face to Wallace despite Wallace’s
cited sources.
Wallace begins lighting round.
Immigration. McCarthy supports Amnesty path.
McCarthy changes the subject to borders.
McCarthy calls the terrorists coming through
as “children”.
McCarthy points out that for transportation
he wants more than taxes.
He also wants federal land opened up to “build the bridges and roads”.
Wallace realizes he is delusional and moves on.
McCarthy says he can and will work with Obama.
He is a cryptoliberal.
The GOP is the Give.Obama.Power Party.
I had a similar issue with IRS this week. They just send out pre printed letters demanding THEIR money, even though I paid!
On each one is the THREAT of more penalties with the unmentioned threat of further punishment ( the hammer of the STATE!). tHIS irs IS SOOOO OUT OF CONTROL..when THEY are inept, IT DOESN’T MATTER.
The problem as I see it is that the majority of Americans PAY NO FED TAXES AND GET A CHECK FROM THE IRS.Why should they care, everything is just peachy for them.
