So, perhaps they are thinking back on the Clinton impeachment days, when the House voted to impeach, and the Senate voted for acquittal, and Clinton’s poll numbers went up, and democrats actually GAINED seats in the 1998 election.
Of course, it was all about sex, Ken Starr was a pervert and vindictive Nazi, Newt Gingrich was a racist who also gasp—had an affair, and above all else—proof that a VAST RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY was trying to undo the will of the “Mercan peepel”.
So they think this will work for them?
Maybe we should just let them hang themselves.
But if we can’t fight back against these blatant crimes against our country and willful unlawful acts without losing an election, we might as well be doomed as an opposition already.
What a pathetic POS this guy is (SOTH Boehner).
“Is he trying out for this role in Rocky Horror Picture Show,”
There was a follow-up to Rocky Horror, and it has one of my favorite tunes - Little Back Dress
Where is - repeat, where is - John Boehner?
Boehner does have good taste in whiskey - Jameson 18yr. One of my favorites - Hm, Hm good
Woodruff sounds IS just more like his defense attorney than another cog in the Propaganda Ministry called the press and was NEVER an investigative journalist or reporter.
Yes. Totally agree.
And not much mention of Thad. His people are lining up NAACP and every others Dem-Rat coalition partner to cross over (illegally) and cast a vote for his RINO azz.
I sent my $ to McDaniel. I hope he is surging, Chris that is.
I’m with most folks, Rand Paul talks out of both sides of his mouth.
I just listened to David Brooks....sheesh...you know he lives right down the street from me? Brooks said, as I paraphrase:
“Until the Republicans can come up with Blue State Republicans they’re going downhill fast.”
Say what?
Say Blue state Republican....is that what we call them now?
Folks, the Tea party, that name they put on us though we know they know nothing, needs to keep plowing on and stick to its guns. We are a political force and hey, if we’re in the minority, fine.
Homosexuals are in the minority, blacks are in the minority , that doesn’t mean they don’t have a voice, that they should be mocked.
I’m not buying it and unlike the pundits who want to talk endlessly about whether the IRS intentionally lost emails, I live in REALVILLE...me and Rush.
We have juries out here in la la land and the juries don’t sit and talk about something forever....like on and on and on if the IRS deliberately lost the emails.
We pronounce a verdict and out here in REALVILLE we’re already of a mind, common sense to the fore, that the IRS deliberately lost Lerner’s emails and come on, also lost the email of everybody she emailed?
Heh.
So in REALVILLE we’re tired of hearing the lovable and well-liked David Gregory go on forever about the guilt of the IRS.
We’re ready for the congress, especially the House, to do what they should do when the executive branch has flipped them the bird.
Instead they want to continually discuss.
In actual point of fact (and with a very low bow to your years of experience in the field), can you name ONE media source that would even briefly consider researching, let alone breaking this story?
Here's the road map: ClowardPiven strategy. That subterfuge has been around for 48 years (1966).
I'm to the point that I'm beginning to believe the Republicans are partially invested in this scheme. How else to explain their behavior?
Consider that the final destination is the same for both political parties. The Democrats are charging ahead at 70 MPH. The Republicans are right behind them, going 55 MPH.
How to stop this? I don't know but I pray it doesn't involve bloodshed.
Great post,so true.
For now we have November. That will be our “fighting back”. Destroying that advantage gets us nowhere.
The DNC washerwoman already says we will lose in November. She’s as desperate a woman as I have seen but no need in helping them out at this point.
There's still hope for my generation! I graduated high school in 1976 and went in to the USAF and served for the next 22 years. That same year I voted for Reagan against Ford in the primary. And in 1980, I got to see Reagan win! I wasn't the only young person then who cheered!
I also was fascinated by Watergate and the investigation, not knowing while it was happening the sanctimonious democrats have done/did/are still doing the same plus worse.
As the years go by, I'm still learning what liars they are.
Even today.
Aye curumba, Amigo! You really picked a wiener!
And incompetence. There is that. Hey, when you best time is spent on the fairway and in private moments with Reggie, who's got time to do any work?
rodguy911: We need a new bunch of reps that cant be corrupted...
Twotone: “No, we need to regularly vote them out so they cant be corrupted.”
IMHO, the answer is very tight term limits. It is my understanding that limits are on the agenda for a Convention of the States held under Article V of the Constitution.
Term limits should be either 12 or 16 years. I prefer 12 years. If Washington (and I’m speaking in general, not just the Congress) is going to be corrupt then our elected officials need minimum exposure. Corruption will end if they are not there long enough to be corrupted.
I guess he never heard of Governor Scott Walker!!!
Yup!
We’ve gothe very wealthy running Congress and the Administration and then the 49% entitlement deadbeats...and we’re in the “middle” class working group. I may have to figure out how to get in that entitlement class soon!
If the Convention of States ever gets off the ground, they need to reverse Senators being popularly elected & go back to states appointing someone to represent the State. That would take care of one issue.
And I would limit congressional reps to one term in, & they can only serve again after one term out. And end ALL retirement benefits for both Senators & Representatives. They need to be incentivized to make it in the real world & gov’t service should be SERVICE - not the road to wealth.
Yeah, and folks like you and me are footin' the damn bill for every bit of it.
(Spit on the ground and walk away...)
When you think about the Republican candidates since Nixon . . .
