If CNN is this worried about audience reaction to Hillary in this district, shes in deep trouble indeed (as her less-than-enthusiastic ratings and book sales elsewhere indicate). So is CNNs credibility, which Wemple skewers in his conclusion:...........................CNN is pathetic.

CNN warmed up the crowd for Hillary and even coached them on how to cheer and make noise to demonstrate enthusiasm for the former Secretary of State. These people's hearts are so hardened by evil. How else can we explain how they can lie with a straight face, and still sleep at night? It seems to me, there is a verse in the Bible about them. Woe unto them who call good evil and evil good.

Was the fat woman from CNN that threw the presidential debate to Obama leading the cheers for Hillary?

Watching Eleanor Clift and understanding that some people are just Vaginocrats. If that is your politics, I suppose Hillary! Fits the bill.

They’ve been running free commercials for her:
A member of an audience plaintively asks, “Mrs. Clinton, if you don’t stand up for women who will?” Hillary beams, the audience erupts into wild applause.
CNN has been running this ad in advance of some interview with the American Queen over and over and over again.
And they want us to respect their “journalism.”

Nothing much shocks or surprises me anymore.
But I am sometimes still surprised at the depth and brazenness of the corruption.
So, CNN has decided, given their abysmal ratings and influence, that they are better off working as Hilary's public relations firm, than as a third-rate cable news network.
Duly noted. Duly noted.
I guess Candy Crowley has shown them the future.

Why should anyone be surprised at this? I'd be pretty sure that TV networks have long been coaching and prompting studio audiences as to when to cheer during the filming of their shows.
Quite a number of years ago, I recall being in the studio audience for a couple of network TV game show filmings. (As far as I can remember, on these occasions, I and others were invited in on a haphazard basis for free because the producers had some empty audience seats that they wanted to be filled and it was getting close to showtime.) An announcer prepped the audience on when to cheer and neon "Applause" signs were flashed as a prompt.
To CNN, the HRC town hall wasn't much more than a game show anyway. Furthermore, this kind of advance coaching of audiences has been used frequently at political campaign speeches, which this HRC event essentially was.
The only thing a bit surprising here was that the WaPo spilled the beans on a fellow leftist MSM outlet, CNN.

Reminds me of Porter Waggoner. He always did that. When a guest finished singing he would be off camera as he came back on stage and all the while signaling with his hands for the crowd to applaud. He was one hell of an entertainer.

"CNN coached audience to cheer for Hillary during town hall event"
Considering the amount of free drinks CNN would have to give me to cheer hillary, I'd probably pass out first.

CNN wants their lies about Hillary’s popularity to seem credible. I’m sure they’ll encourage fake applause for Sarah Palin too... /s
In short - CNN is the pits.
