Hmmm, good point.
There is a requirement that emails not only be retained, but also a hardcopy generated and archived.
Plus I doubt emails stay on the hard drive only, there are also the servers....
The excuse about it being thrown away is just as bad as “the dog ate my homework” err, the PC crashed.
Always thought NOTHING could be lost permenently. Bet if a million dollar reward was offered a dozen or more geeks would find them

If they truly use an exchange server they have the e-mails also if some one deleted any of them they have the ip of the machine that did it. Of course that’s assuming anyone really wants to find them.
yes and show us what server destroyed the emails. I bet if the IRS wanted my emails they would find them no matter what I destroyed.
