Why did Rick Perry wait so long to call the Texas Militia?What makes you think he has? So far, I've only seen this Ginger Russell calling the Militia. I'll believe it only when Perry himself makes the call.

What is Perry gonna do? Call the Feds in to stop the militia?
Perry against the citizens of his own state?
I don’t think so.
However, if Perry is not going to lead, then he needs to get out of the way.

Has Perry heard the news reports that say DPS was also “guarding” the border swarmers?
DPS is the Texas Department of Public Safety police - which is what Rick Perry says he has deployed at the border to stop the illegal influx.
