My mother was born in 1921 and spent her teen years during the turmoil of the 30's. Here in america school children during that time would reach out their arms in a very similar way when reciting the pledge of allegiance. When Hitler became prominent, the practice stopped for obvious reasons.

Many americans still worship the national socialist state, with or without the salute.

Liberals especially want to have a strong leader who will tell them what to do, right down to the size of soft drink they may choose. Liberals want government to have a monopoly on force so that they can effectively compel others to obey. Liberals today are the precise opposite of liberalism in the past - and as is usual for those who support totalitarianism, the left adopted a word that sounded nice and changed its meaning under Newspeak.

In those days, the shoulder patch of the US Army 45th Infantry Division was designed to honor Native Americans from the southwest. In 1939 it underwent a revision.


Adopted 1924

Revised 1939

After the Korean War, the Division was downsized and made a unit of the Oklahoma National Guard. They adopted the Thunderbird as their insignia:
