As you noticed, nowhere did she say we “must” return the children. That was the author putting lipstick on her to make her look acceptable to a majority of Americans.

She did say, “We need to do more to provide border security in southern Mexico –”
That suggests she believes the U.S. has the leverage to persuade Mexico to not facilitate O’s orchestrated, nefarious population redistribution.
The House could proceed along that line today, if it had the guts.

She also undermined the liberal mantra, perhaps unintentionally, by confirming the children are indeed - illegal immigrants,
“We have to send a clear message: Just because your child gets across the border, that doesn’t mean the child gets to stay,..So we don’t want to send a message that is contrary to our laws…”

Disagree. I think it’s actually a good thing for the GOP that Hillary is saying this *first*.

There's another angle.

If a Republican would have spoken first, he would have 'locked out' Hillary. She would have been stuck with either silence, or pleading for amnesty.

This way she gets two things, she gets amnesty, because that's what's going on, and she gets to claim she was against it.

No it’s not, it’s pretty much what you would expect from Hillary once you realize it was Hillary that got the entire “something needs to be done about the illegals” debate started in 2005.

When she said it the “send them back” bunch thought she supported their position.

The “amnesty” bunch also thought Hillary supported their position.

Hillary was simply using the issue to divide people.

Once Hillary got the debate started she sat back and watched as the 2 sides, amnesty and send them back, took their positions.

What Hillary wants with this statement is what she got with her comments starting the debate, she got millions of illegals to marching and protesting in the streets.

With this position Hillary has let you know there are race riots being planned.
