Am I the only one who thinks it is ridiculous that they are saying the emails were on her computer?
Every company in the county MUST retain emails. This isn’t done on the individual computers but at the mail server. WTH is going on here?

Am I the only one who thinks it is ridiculous that they are saying the emails were on her computer? No. Another angle to go at this is to find out who failed to assure that the proper backups were being done. Work it from the bottom up. Used to be you could motivate a geek with chocolate chip cookies.
We will either find the backups or find clues about who destroyed them.

I agree. Only home users or the very smallest of businesses would ever keep emails stored in something like a .PST file where they are pulled off of the server and stored locally.
There is no way this is being done at government agencies. If they lost two years of HER emails due to a crash, they lost two years of EVERYBODY'S emails.
