A three word text was released from inside the Embassy about six hours ago: Too late Alamo. That message is open to interpretation.
Just minutes ago news came from within the United States Embassy in Baghdad that the Iraqis have shut down internet service for those barricaded inside. Limited text messages via private cell phones are still coming through.
It is unknown how many of the more than 5,000 U.S. civilians in Baghdad are actually taking refuge inside the embassy compound. NBC war correspondent, Richard Engel reported last night that civilians in and around Baghdad have boarded up residences and businesses.
The embassy lockup is a reminder of when Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait in August of 1990 and U.S. civilians were held hostage for months, including those from the State Department and Department of Transportation.
This week ISIS terrorists operating in Iraq have toppled Fallujah, Ramadi, Tikrit, and Mosul, robbing the Bank of Mosul for more than $450 million dollars. ISIS leaders now claim they are the richest terror group in the world, topping al Qaeda and Hamas. This militant group has vowed to overrun Baghdad, the nation's capital, and eliminate the Shiite ruling party.

Going into Baghdad against the terrorists that Barry armed, he might as well be securing a noose around that soldier’s neck.
Is Camp Taji a military installation, or a camping site?
And if we know that, the people in positions to have done something THEN, refused.
It is that simple. Every one of these people shares responsibility through negligence if not open collusion with Obama and his admin.

MUSA KESLER-
BREAKING ISIS claims that many top officials of Iraq get stucked in Baghdad international airport....
That could be devastating to Malaki’s government.
Glad you like. Ultimate Force for the first couple of seasons was very good. There were some cast changes and it went downhill some. I liked it way better than I ever liked the UNIT.
It looks like there are some whole episodes out there.
Henno is just one very bad dude. I love him. The SAS version of DCI Gene Hunt.
A few years back we were at a Dragoncon and Jamie Bamber was there. He was in UF for a while as an officer. We passed his table and there was small talk going on. I mentioned Ross Kemp (Henno) and he laughed and said he wouldn’t wish Ross Kemp on anybody.
I don’t think that Obama is a mastermind of evil, but he IS evil, petty, and sides with Islam over the United States. Not sure if siding with Islam is because he is one or because he’s a liberal who thinks that they’re minorities.
But ugh...
Taji’s a former coalition facility about 30 miles north of Baghdad.
The Announcement of the U.S. Embassy “redeployment” was the call to EVERYONE that the end was near in Iraq.
It was the signal to anyone and everyone that ever had anything to do with helping the US that it was now time to get the hell out.
very ominous, can invasion be seen on google?
exactly
if this is all factual (which it probably is) this is a very very sad day for us
and guess what? it will probably not change bummer’s ratings - the left has no regard for life. none.
Remember the media telling us just this week how “Exhausted!” Obama is, and how much he NEEDED this vacation??
CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE THE REPORTING IF AN “R” was in office right now???
So no doubt ISIS now has more firepower
I prefer the term “deja vue” to flashback; flashback reminds me to much of the doped out hippies that were decorating all the gutters when I got back to the world.
Now those same doped out hippies are running the government and making a mess of it.
I don’t really want to have to correct you, but don’t you mean Piece of Sh#t in Chief?
This FR thread, leftist media notwithstanding, is Obama’s legacy. This thread is how history will remember him. Not Obamacare, not bin Laden, not Gitmo, but this thread contains all the information that people will remember about the 44th President of the United States 100 years from now.
Well, IF the report is true, and IF there was anything there, and IF it actually was ISIS and not the Baathist militia or a Sunni militia group (which is frankly more likely), then yeah.
I picture this like when the Khmer Rouge entered Phnom Penh.
Could somebody hop on the air travel websites and check what the last reported flight arrival in Baghdad was? There’s discussion about the “massive ISIS attack on the airport” actually being four mortar rounds that were lobbed in from a nearby neighborhood and caused a brief disruption, but flights have resumed. It’d be nice to find some actual data. It’s 3:40 am in Baghdad.
