If your vehicles and every gas can you own aren’t slam full at this point you need your head examined.

I have adequate stores but not sure how this would affect availability on the west coast, other than price.

I doubt there will be any actual fuel shortages.
Driving the price up past $5/gal will effectively do the rationing.

Expensive gas does have one benefit, it gets poor people off the streets and reduces congestion.

Price would be the main point. If it goes up to $6.00 a gallon, temporarily, you’d at least have a cushion till the prices stabilized somewhat.
