How did this all begin? It seems it just happened out of nowhere! Our media has barely mentioned this, and this could be the biggest story of the year.

From all indications, the U.S. intelligence and diplomatic agencies were caught flat footed by this offensive. There have been some discussions between the US and our 'regional partners' about the rising threat of ISIS, and certainly their activities in Syria were noted, but it really seems like we just dropped the ball. That's probably a combination of the insurgents getting smarter, and us being less engaged.

It comes from willful denial, stupidity, obtuseness and utter refusal to face the most important fact facing the world today:

A new Caliphate has arisen to devour and rule the world with a bloody sword. They are devout, they are utterly committed, they are fearless, and they do not admit the thought of defeat.

Perhaps another way to put it, is that the West has believed its own projected diversity bullshit about the rest of the world long enough to be killed by its own blindness.
