So all these kids have been in central and south America waiting for their families in the U.S. to summon them? And they got this far on their own?

Their families are sending them here, using them as leverage to get their own worthless hides into the U.S.

There was a “Killer Kids” show about a couple that came here illegally from Central America and left their son at home. They are still here and had two more children. Finally they paid to have the son they left behind join them here. He promptly kills his sister, saying that he just didn’t fit in here and it wasn’t fair that she had it better than him.
