The situation in ukraine is fairly simple

Even your hero knows that it isn't, as should be quite obvious from his very different interactions with different groups of separatists/revanchists in different regions of Ukraine, and his government's complex negotiations with the Ukraine on natural gas sales and transport.

soundasleep

Extremely clever. Great argument.

the faceoff is between a Christian hero (Putin)

Is this the Christian hero who infiltrated and broke up underground churches in East Germany for the KGB, or the Christian hero who abandoned his wife to live in sin with a girl his daughter's age, or the Christian hero who set up an Islamist puppet state in Chechnya?

and a bunch of Soros-related Nazi vermin

The Ukraine reform movement is neither backed by Soros (he's closing up shop in the Ukraine because they wouldn't listen to him) nor is it "Nazi" (despite the fact that the handful of neo-Nazis in the Ukraine are trying to pretend that it was their idea).

The only neo-Nazis who have any real-life role in this whole conflict are the Terek Wolves, a Russian neo-Nazi outfit backed by Vladimir Putin.

and, naturally enough, our rogue state department backs and supports the Nazi vermin

Oh, our state department supports Ukraine reform, eh?

So they've put together a comprehensive aid package for the Ukraine, then? Or they've sent NATO troops to help the Ukraine combat the Russian invasion? Or they've at least gotten a binding resolution passed in the UN, right?

Oh, none of those things.

You've been seriously indoctrinated. Congratulations.

I mean, the only thing either one of us DOES know about Putin's persona life is that he isn't getting blowjobs on government time or spending most or even much of his time on vacation resorts after creating disasters for his country as is the case with our own leaders. He's brought Russia back from the dead (the Russian cross) and the disaster of 70 years of communism followed by 12 years of "neocon(TM)" and oligarch predation and the deal he'd offered Ukraine was reasonable (which is why Yanukovich took it) and the deal being offered by the EU was not. Apparently all of that was too much for the Soros nazis so they killed a couple hundred of their own people in yet another false-flag op and took the place over, at least the Western part of it and, sooner or later, Vladimir Putin is going to come down on those idiots like a ton of bricks and most of the world including me is going to be laughing when it happens.
