As I recall, the Clinton’s were over $10 million in debt when they left the White House.
Obviously, they had great future earning power.
But, the fact is, they were broke in 2001.
They both got their book deal advances totaling more than $10 million in late 2000. Plus... they had a hefty legal defense fund to defray Bill’s BJ eruption costs.
For what, a day? Days on end? Oh, the horror!!
