Sucks to be Cantor...LOL!!!
.
Just the EVIL in that face...sickening. Thankfully he’s done with politics, at least for now (ruled out a write-in). He’ll spend his next decades on K Street, but will he really have any influence? I’d hate to be a Republican Rep caught in a picture with him having dinner, even years from now.
Imagine the agita on Capitol Hill when the phone rings and the caller says, “Hi, I’m Jean Jones and I’m with the Virginia Tea Party.”
I suspect that the receptionists for Virginia’s delegation have now been instructed to put Tea Party phone calls through, rather than telling them they got the wrong number.
Heh——yeah.
Lessons learned too late for Cantor: when a constituent calls, ya better listen, and don’t attend those nasty anti-Tea Party conferences.
When the rubber meets the road, the party will actually speak with one voice. The statement spoken will be in votes on specific bills.
That action will be the result of the crafting of a bill that will satisfy the majority necessary to get it passed. That is the way it has always been.
With the loss of Cantor and the addition of one more conservative voice, the conservative message is strengthened.
The new leadership will be required to take the strengthened conservative power into account.
