To: This Just In

I posted some time back that Paul had gotten a little too diplomatic with the dems. Playing a little to nice is usually a precursor to the total fold on one issue or another. Seems we are now seeing him fold.

It is a shame, he is from my state and I had high hopes for him.

If Rand finds common ground with Democrats on legalizing marijuana (i.e. rolling back the failed war on drugs) and reigning in the NSA (i.e. reasserting our rights under the Constitution) then I am OK with that.

On the other hand, being a text book libertarian in favor of the free flow of labor across state borders is not something to get excited about.

Rand shouldn't be so naive as to think that the Democrats support illegal immigration because they favor free market principles. He should be aware that once all of the labor moves freely across our borders they will start to collect welfare and vote more like Democrats than Libertarians.

This is another case where a partial libertarian solution is worse than no libertarianism at all.
