All the more reason to consolidate the move into what is now a vacuum created by the instant “lame duck” status of Eric Cantor.
Rep. Cantor may not any longer have the necessary clout and support of his fellow Republicans to effectively lead on anything. This degree of disarray may not have been what the Democrats would have liked to see, as they even now plotting to totally disrupt whatever legislative session remains before elections and the installation of the new Congress. It certainly throws a wrench into their “order of battle” with the Republican majority.
