This seat should go to the GOP. All the House members from this area are Republicans.
To: fieldmarshaldj
Rob Bell agrees it should go GOP. Let's hope they nominate just the right candidate who's electable.

Conservative area and many southern Dems are conservative.
From Senator Dick Black: Democrat Senator Puckett has announced his resignation from the Virginia Senate. I have been honored to work with him on important issues such as coal, jobs and pro-life issues. Senator Puckett often broke with his caucus to represent the traditional values of the people of his region and to oppose the extreme anti-coal policies that are being forced on it by Washington. I was honored to work with him in Richmond.

A liberal blog I follow is blaming this on Republicans for bribing him. :D

Until January of this year, VA suffered a GOP Governor, Lt. Gov, AG and majorities in both chambers. That all went to hell with the last election when we got Gov. Grifter from NY. (with a great deal of help from the GOPe, one might add) All 3 statewide offices went D as did the state senate.
Maybe by now people have awakened. We can hope.

Okay, thanks for the info.
Let’s hope those blue dog Democrats you describe wake up and get out of that corrupt party.

I don't think there are any RINO VA senators...there may be one repub in Loudoun county, but I think that is it.

The Loudoun County Republican is Dick Black and he is a solid, Christian conservative.

They JUST got their U.S. Senate candidate confirmed yesterday. This has to be a gift to the RPV.

Thanks for the synopsis. We are retiring in ten months and escaping California. We ruled out Virginia even though it is beautiful because we can’t count n her people to vote right. We’ve had enough of idiots voting themselves tax increases.
To: HokieMom
If that stinking libertarian hadn’t run you wouldn’t be worried about a Gov. McAuliffe. He was recruited by some Dems to run. He never had a chance and he handed the election to McAuliffe who won with less than 50% of the vote.

Three republican senators voted for the medicaid expansion, allowing the dems to call it “bi-partisan”, even though at least one democrat voted against it in the house, meaning the house can also call it “bi-partisan opposition”.
