Those are some big air intakes. I wonder what it looks like on radar.

Yep, big, probably about like an F-15 or F-18 Super Hornet. No hiding at max radar range.

The Russians are masters at A-A ECM, they know we have excellent BVR capability. Like their efforts against carriers, instead of trying to compete directly, they go for the less expensive counter.

Some years back, their jamming pods completely blinded our F-15s in a joint exercise against the Indians, taking away the BVR advantage of the F-15 and forcing the merge. Was said the F-15s were not latest top level capability radar, but still.

I would hope the F-22 can illuminate the adversary and ID/track without them knowing they are in the area and trying to jam. Might get off the BVR shot that way.

LPI radar and stealth have to be making A-A very interesting.
