Did I hear that correctly? Two boys said they say an American “crawling through the weeds.”

That's what I heard too, that they (platoon members) were out looking for Bergdahl and some kids told them they saw an American, alone and with no weapons, crawling in the weeds.

Yep and with no gear or gun. Even the little Afhgan kids thought it odd.

Thanks. By way of illustration, if someone were a POW, he wouldn’t just stand up and try to walk away. He would crawl away so as not to be noticed. Similarly, if someone were deserting, he would not stand up and walk away, risking drawing attention to himself, he would take a very low profile so he wouldn’t be seen. I think that is a very powerful piece of information that was just made public.
