Now that the Republican primary in Mississippi is headed to a June 24 run-off between U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran and state Sen. Chris McDaniel, various players are deciding whether they will play in the race over the next three weeks. The most significant announcement was provided to The Cook Political Report by American Crossroads. Communications Director Paul Lindsay gave us this statement: Other than Alaska, we have completed our work on Senate primaries this cycle and are now focused on general elections. With the Chamber, the NRSC, and a local super PAC already backing Cochran, this is not our fight.
Crossroads absence in the run-off denies Cochrans campaign a major source of outside spending, but not everyone is staying on the sidelines and Cochran will have plenty of support. in one story, cochran is quoted as saying how good it is to be back in mississippi, as he spends so much time in washington. guess having a mistress limits how often you can visit your wife back home in hospice care
Well, there’s that.
I’m wondering how much of this campaign is ‘Miss Kay doesn’t want to leave the cocktail party circuit just yet!’ and how much is crony supporters who can’t stand the thought of having to corrupt a brand new sinator and break him into the ways of DC.
Why do they spell that with an H? I hate to see that. Shows how dumb some on the right can be.
ROFL!
I actually kind of go easy on him. He’s clearly done and you don’t want a backlash effect. They are not making him available on the trail at all. Something is definitely wrong with him. He can’t win. The gig is up. Sad that the cronies are using him as their pawn.
Please, tell your friends and neighbors, no money to these creeps. It's like paying your own executioner.
