Could they manufacture enough votes to put Cochran over 50%? That’s the only way out of a loss for Cochran.

Yes, and Rankin is the county that is left that has big numbers. It’s close there right now.

Cochran might be tired. His cronyist supporters would never allow him to concede though. He’s danced their tune for decades. He can’t exactly stop that now.

I totally agree that he is bad on economic issues, and I said so. My original post, and subsequent ones, dealt with the issue of amnesty, abortion, and obamacare, and only to protest that his positions on those issues were significantly different from the democrat. I even noted that his abortion record isn’t spectacular, but did earn him a 0% from NARAL.

People got really upset about that, but I stand by my position that on those three issues, the establishment would NOT be able to claim victory if Cochran had won, because his official record on those issues were not inline with the establishment.

Note also I certainly did not say, and could not predict, whether Cochran would CHANGE his positions on any of those things if he won. But I also can’t say that we KNOW how McDaniels or any other person would vote after winning an election — we’ve been burned enough to know that there is rarely a sure thing unless someone has already been in office long enough to prove themselves on the national stage.

Remember that Ayotte was tea party, and Rubio was also a big tea party favorite at one point.

Just tightened

C. McDaniel 49.4% 143,762
T. Cochran (i) 49.0% 142,407

Guys, it is all about forcing him into a runoff at this point. We cannot let him gain the last 1% he needs. COME ON CHRIS!!!

I calculate that there are another 17,000 votes outstanding.

McDaniel is 3,227 below 50%. Cochroach is 5937 below 50%.

Watch Choctaw county too. Breaking for McDaniel at 50% in, not many votes, but every one counts
