Not good. Cochran 9 ahead, but still only 1% reporting.
This one could be a while.
The real numbers we are looking for are
McDaniel passes 50%
Or keeps Cochran under 50%
McDaniel closing - 2.9% reporting..lots of votes left out there.

Looking county by county, Cochran got good results in two, but McDaniel blew him out of the water in some others.
Is Cochran’s lead with 1% significant?

Getting better. Is this a runoff if neither gets over 50%?? Impossible unless Carey pulls out something special, but still.
No big deal. One cannot get a trend with 1%.

Yes. New law requires 50% to avoid runoff.
Ummm.... 2012? Dick Lugar was ousted by the state treasurer in Indiana. Others have lost at conventions, like Bennett in Utah
