As I recall the first level of punishment for simple AWOL is forfeiture of pay. The next step is forfeiture of some part of future pay. In this case his check was probably going electronically to a bank where his mom might have spent it already? But heck, in this case the Kenyan will probly put him on salary so money is the least of the dirtbagz worries?
