Pay close attention to papa Bergdahl. He only gets emotional or tears up when speaking about the Afghan people.
I think the knee-pad media realized they had to get out in front of this one, or lose what little credibility they have remaining.
Bergdahl's real story has gone viral. Every news story I've seen about this, everywhere, is filled with comments about the circumstances of his disappearance, and the aftermath. The outrage is palpable. It's even making the IRS scandal look mundane, in comparison.
The knee-pad media has tried to make it "political". But, it isn't working. For now, I think the GOP would do well to ask pointed questions, but let the momentum build -- rather than trying to force the issue.
Maybe it’s cumulative. Things just keep piling up and they know they can’t just keep ignoring them. This particular story has a lot of people very angry.
