The House doesn’t get a pass on slick’s intentionally botched impeachment. They could have impeached him on real charges but went for the blue dress bullshit because it was a better for fundraisers.

Perjury is not a "real charge"?

Undeniable evidence of same is "bullshit"?

Choosing to impeach him for a provable felony rather than probable but unprovable charges that are a matter of opinion is "botching"?

Yes, it’s a bullshit charge that only little people (that’s us, btw) get thrown at them when a prosecuter wants a plea deal. Police commit it on the stand every day, get caught for it on the spot and it’s ignored by the courts. It’s something judges and prosecutors snicker about. Defense lawyers who have been around awhile will ask the judge to direct the witness to keep the perjury to an absolute minimum when it’s someone on the government payroll. That’s how much of an inside joke it is. But it sure got the rabble all worked up for a few months, didn’t it?
