The point is that many fear they might be. Intimidation accomplished. I think July4 is absolutely right. Such polls are skewed by their very nature.

If it follows the opinion polls before ‘gay marriage’ popular votes it would be around +5% or so for the poll in the favour of the homosexualist side when you look at the actual voting results. So maybe around 57-59% in favour if it was put to an actual vote. But it could also be that more are accepting of gay adoption than ‘gay marriage.’
