I agree with those who commented on your post.

When I was in the military, there were two ways a person is declared a deserter. One - he leaves and is marked down as AWOL for 30 days. On day 31, he is declared a deserter. Two - he leaves and leaves behind him signs that he has no intention of returning. Like cutting up his ID card and leaving it behind. OR BY PUTTING HIS UNIFORMS IN A BOX AND SHIPPING THEM OFF TO HIS PARENTS!

Do you get that? Do you you understand that? He discarded his uniforms with no intention of wearing them again. He is a deserter.

Getting to this pastors ramblings. He states "...isn’t that what being an American is about... the right to question our government and its actions, and to hold strange views..." Than he states "Can’t these conspiracy accusers shut up for a week or two and let the Bergdahls enjoy having their son..." Sorry pastor, you cannot have it both ways. You cannot say we as Americans have the right to question the actions of others and then tell us to shut up. This is typical liberal thinking.

] Now you Persevero - if you want to believe the best of this guy, more power to you. I think you have your head in the clouds and eventually you will be proven wrong.

Reading what the pastor wrote, that’s exactly what I was thinking — what a bunch of liberal claptrap. I don’t know anything about that church but his statement smacks of liberalism.
