That’s only his “nom de guerre”. For all we know his birth name could have been Ralph Smith.

Regardless, he’s still not an “American-American” in my book.

uhh... whats your definition of an “American American” name? I have a good friend named Lutz. Born and raised here. Is he “American American”? How about another guy I know named Himanshu. Also born and raised here.

Exactly, with that name he should be labeled a Syrian-American. That would distinguish him from me...an American-American!
