I stood on a chair as a child and helped my mother cook and chop. It was a sad day when she stopped baking and became, literally, an insane health nut!
All kids should learn to cook - if only to feed themselves!
Well, I have great memories of helping my Great Grammer in the kitchen when I was a wee lad.
Made me feel like I had some purpose.
