Texas is certainly a different place since LBJs liberal thugs ran Austin. It's hard (to impossible) for a liberal Democrat to get elected to a state-wide office. That's a good thing.

Agreed. However, this also a reason why amnesty is a life/death issue for us here in Texas. I read (and unfortunately lost) an article that if Amnesty passes, we lose all advantage almost immediately.

Sickening that our destiny isntrolled by a gutless leaders like McConnell and Boehner.

I can't think of one...Black Republicans have been elected to state-side offices.
