Lots of us would love to see Strauss go the way of Dewhurst.
Given enough time, we'll make that happen.

Hope your fellow Texans retire Ralph Hall
I was kind of torn on this one. Hall has been a solid conservative, but I feel the need to shake up the establishment. Turnout was very low in my precinct. I cast ballot number 59 at 4:00 pm. Hall has a very solid and well-entrenched support network in his district. With turnout low, I suspect he'll be ours for another term.

I voted Tea Party ticket.
Likewise, except for the state rep 108 I couldn’t bring myself to vote for sleaze merchant Chart Wescott. I’ve never seen a more despicable political campaign anywhere. I want that chubby little sawed-off jerk to disappear from public life before his political career even begins.

As for the dem side, I ran into Kinky Friedman at the grocery store again yesterday. We shook hands and exchanged pleasantries but he seemed a bit shaky and looked mighty frail. Hes 70 and has never won an election.*****************************
I'm sorry to hear that. I always liked him, and enjoyed some of his books. "Greenwich Killing Time" was particularly good, as I recall. I read it during a northeaster while camping at Mattawamkeag, Maine, way back in the 90's. What fond memories.

That means he will vote however Bonehead and Cantor Tell him too.
May be a good man, but he is too old to fight. And at his age he should
not have to.
He should have retired.

I won’t knowingly vote for anyone allied with Straus when I have an alternatives. And Straus is for Dewhurst, Branch, Sitton, and Merritt.

Anyone want to wager how the MSM downplays Dan Patrick’s victory tonight?

Texans do NOT appreciate extremely negative campaigning, which is all Dewhurst knows how to do.I just got a robocall from Dewhurst that was vile and disgusting. The man is desperate. Hey Dewie...... adios mofo.

Very stormy today in SE Texas. Happened to drive by polling place twice today. Hardly anyone voting. Expect turnout to be light. Noticed light turnout when I voted early too.
I think this works against the RINO's on the ballot.

Yep, one thing we have going for us is Rs voting for local issues and safe R seats that don’t require runoff voting last time.
Runoff voting is for us broken-glass guys.

Happened to drive by polling place twice today. Hardly anyone voting. If something like 3% of registered TX voters cast a ballot in the primaries, I cringe to think how low the percentages are for this runoff.
