There go the Republicans... yet again promising to snatch another defeat from the jaws of victory.

REPUBLICANS SAY THEY'D RESTORE FILIBUSTER IF IN POWER

The GOP was coopted by the left years ago. There is only one super party now. The only way to defeat them is to remove all of them from office.

And if a Republican takes the White House in 2016 and the Democrats filibuster every appointment he/she tries to make, then what?

Actually, I support bringing back the filibuster, since there will be a DEMOCRAT president for at least the next two years...if not longer.

The filibuster means only 41 Republicans are needed to block his extremists, not 51, as is now needed. That means that conservatives (along with those that are mostly conservative), can stop this garbage, whereas now it is very unlikely to get 51 Republicans to agree on anything.

So...let’s re-visit the filibuster rule, but ONLY AFTER Republicans control the Senate and White House.

SO WHAT ? It would be good PR; until 2016 , all the nominations are going to be coming from Obama anyway, and the change of the filibuster rules applies only to nominations. So it makes it easier to filibuster an Obama nomination. THAT’s A Good Thing.
