Ansel12, I think the man was sincerely grief-stricken and was expressing just that. I'm sure he was anti-gun before his son was murdered, so it's predictable he's even more so now. I don't think we should criticize someone who's just lost his child. Do I agree with his political views? No, I don't, not at all. But I won't criticize a grieving parent only hours after the murder of his son.

I won't criticize a grieving parent only hours after the murder of his son. That's nice, many of us saw him making a pretty smooth political statement for reporters, rather than expressing emotion about his just killed son and what it meant to his family.
