Today as I returned from Detroit, I had a moment that I truly felt was God sent, as I don’t believe in coincidences. It happened on one of my flights, and it was two hours I will never forget.
I was seated beside someone who personally knew one of the men who was there on the roof in Benghazi. This person was excited to share with me the “ground truth” of what happened September 11, 2012.
My seat mate drew schematics to orient me to the “time and spacing” and the direction of the attack. I learned about the repeated orders to the men at the CIA annex to stand down and do nothing — thank God two of them, Glenn Doherty and Ty Woods, lived up to their code of honor and ran to the sound of the guns, resulting in their loss of life — but the preservation of life for others, their fellow Americans.
I learned about the proximity of the staging area of the attack to the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, and the attackers were indeed Ansar al-Sharia, a group affiliated with al-Qaida. I came to understand why Ambassador Chris Stevens was there in the first place and that he had in fact requested better security but was denied – the question is, by whom? And I learned that the Martyrs of 17 February Brigade were in charge of security and were the ones who opened the gates, then fled.
I learned there are those who are being threatened with their pensions being cut off if they come forth to speak.
And I learned, as I presumed, that there was a covert weapons scheme going on in Libya, Benghazi.

I once sat next to a petroleum engineer for an hour and a half flight from Tulsa to Atlanta.
It was actually one of the most interesting conversations one could imagine. Gasoline, octane, oil etc. is fascinating if the guy really knows what he is talking about.

I thought I detected irony or sarcasm - the comment seemed off the wall and I inquired for clarification. I got it. And yarddog said he did not think West was a chump
Later, there are comments questioning overtly questioning West's legitimacy. Those are clear and forthright.

I reacted to an off topic post, early in the thread, to try to understand its meaning and intent. That is my last word on this rabbit trail.
Just like now CNN has secured a base with the pro-Russian ‘rebels’ in Ukraine, and pointedly NOT with the Ukraine mil.

IMO this is exactly how it went down.
On the back end of this story:
The moment the attack began, Flash Traffic (SOP) was sent to all concerned parties. For those that do not know: Flash Traffic is just that. It is not email, but the highest level enciphered communication we have. It works like a phone, not a computer/server based communication like email.
All parties concerned are mandated to read and sign off in a log book Traffic directed to them. Among those who received this Traffic were POTUS, Sec State, Sec Def. This log exists and Goudy and Co need to gain access. If he does not, all that follows is a sham.
It was the receipt of this Traffic that caused Someone to launch the two drones that were overhead during the assaults. One drone was relaying video to the WH, the other to Command in Germany. That drones were launched and overhead during the entire time, gives the lie to not having forces available.
When the guys on the ground became aware that the drones were overhead, they assumed (because whomever sent they was aware there was an attack in progress) that one or both were armed and, following SOP and their training, illuminated targets (which, since neither drone was armed, only served to make the guys targets for mortars).
Meanwhile, back in the White Hut, the concerned people above were gathered in the Situation Room, where they WATCHED the attack live. All that was necessary was for the POTUS to show up. While they were waiting to be graced by His presence, they likely ordered out for popcorn and pizza. That finished, but still no POTUS, the hours wore on, and they again ordered out - this time for Chinese. About this time POTUS stuck His head in the door to see what the commotion was about.
VJ may have asked if He wanted some Chinese, but the POTUS seeing the now empty popcorn bags and empty pizza boxes asked if there was any pizza left. VJ told Him He was too late - it was already eaten. At this point, POTUS was told there was an attack and that VJ had signed off on His Traffic (a criminal offence). POTUS likely said if she signed off for Him, then she should handle it, and left.
As most of us know, the GO order for sending US troops into a foreign country can only be given by POTUS. Since VJ could not give the order, none was given. You can be sure that some of the officers watching live in Command: Germany went home and cried.
Too bad there is no provision to remove from office those in charge who are monsters. Murderers, rapists, robbers are all criminals, but monsters get a free pass.
I, for one, am outraged. Who ate all the pizza before Obama got there? /sarc
May those lost at Benghazi Rest in Peace. They are truly heroes. I still cannot get over the horror of their abandonment.

Well, by now the White House knows everything about anyone seated anywhere near of next to the good Colonel on the plane.
Secondly, this chance encounter is reminiscent of Don Juan the Yaqui Indian medicine man/shaman (Matus) whom Carlos Castenada ran across and learned all about mysticism.
Just too pat.
Maybe West is protecting his real source by using this plane ride scenario as a way to get it out there.
I still cannot get over the horror of their abandonment.
But O will still look all solemn if he lays the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

All good questions. It seems clear there was an elaborate weapons program underway but the crucial thing at the time was the reelection campaign. That is all the administration cared about - 110%. And they knew whatever cover story they came up with would be embraced by their friends in the media - exhibit A is Candy Crowley in the debate with Romney.
I think the YouTube lie was on standby in case anything flared up in the Arab world. Benghazi or elsewhere. Anyway, without a John Dean coming forward I don’t think this will bring down Obama.

Speaking more to you point, VJ could make the easy political calculation that it would be easier to do nothing and spin the result as part of the reelection line to the LIVs of POTUS single-handed elimination of AQ and OBL. The POTUS did not get the Nobel Peace prize for nothing, you know.
