I’d leave it up there and just put a sombrero on its head.

Governor Perry better be doing something about this. This is nothing short of a hostile invasion. It’s time to declare a state of emergency and send the Texas National Guard to El Paso.

I hope he sees this as a defining moment in his career, because it is. There is no room for politics here.

Under the Texas Constitution, there's not a lot the Governor can do (about anything, ever).

Indeed, it is.

You’re right. The TX Governor is the weakest in the country.

When I drive I-10, I don’t even stop for gas around El Paso.

Oh for it to be the 1950’s again. These murdering bastards would be hunted down like the dogs that they are.

Reported by the United Kingdom. Is the US media covering this?

Are we sure that it was Pancho Villa and Santa Ana, or a couple of college kids pranking . . .

ARTICLE 4. EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT
Sec. 7. COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF OF MILITARY FORCES; CALLING FORTH MILITIA.
He shall be Commander-in-Chief of the military forces of the State, except when they are called into actual service of the United States. He shall have power to call forth the militia to execute the laws of the State, to suppress insurrections, and to repel invasions.
By my definition, this counts as repelling an invasion. It's a threat of deadly force against Texas Law Enforcement. It cannot be allowed to go unanswered - and by unanswered I mean the absence of a full-out assault.
