"Big Pharm can’t patent something that’s helping people, time to “debunk” it with their “studies”!"

Actually, this study is correct. Try some Beano. It works for those of us who get bloated, gas, intestinal discomfort due to sensitivity to certain grains. Just try it before you eat grains. It's two little pills and will alleviate your gastro discomfort. It's a little hassle, but works. I now know others (aging population) who take Beano after long suffering gastro distress and glad the "big pharm" invented it. What do you think? Some guy in garage came up with a biological distress remedy?

Yes, "big pharm" is sometimes wrong and definitely charge too much in the US for some of their products. However, they spend billions of dollars for products that cure or relieve our ailments. My gripe is the same products are cheaper around the world. But then, that's capitalism. They spend the big bucks to research and go through the long complex FDA approval process, then they should get their investment back.

Just try it. Some products actually work.

Why should people pop more pills, Beano or otherwise, when they can avoid eating certain things and feel great?

Are these the same scientists that put together Big Gov’s (insanely faulty) food pyramid?

People have been helping themselves using simple dietary adjustments like Docters Atkins and Agatson suggest, and they’re experiencing results beyond weight loss. Scientists tell us to avoid fat and cholesterol, yet on these diets cholesterol is lowered. Many docs are still selling that line when it turns out sugar is the culprit for high cholesterol, not cholesterol intake.

Some of us don’t like popping pills for problems, and would rather make dietary adjustments. If you want to pop pills be my guest, to each his/her own. I’m personally uncomfortable with Big Pharm’s passionate relationship with Big Gov. Too many pockets being lined.
