My feelings exactly! I get tons more news and information from the Internet in about 1/10th of the time.
And....I, too, now KNOW how much Rush and the rest are too cowardly to report. Obama’s eligibility permanently soured me on talk radio and Fox. I will never forgive them. ( Not that any of them care as their wealth expands to match the size of their egos.)
Speaking of the old Rush that I knew so well, it was never about cowardice, it was about moving the nation right.
Rush always wanted to have a vast audience that he was prodding and educating, and largely, unlocking their inner conservative and giving them the language and arguments, for what they already believed, whether they knew it or not.
Rush was about his listeners being able to persuade at the office water cooler, he wasn’t there to express his inner, angry, radical self.
I used to listen to Rush to help me sound less dogmatic, less blunt, less of a fact filled dump machine for any poor soul that I could corner.
Rush was about changing people and emboldening the middle class to have confidence in their values and common sense, not to sing songs and share red meat with we die hard right wingers.
Obama’s eligibility is exactly what I was thinking about.
What was startling about their treatment of the eligibility issue was the utter lack of thorough investigation and reasoned analysis, even from the “great one” constitutional lawyer. They were apparently intimidated by the elevation of a rule of ridicule above the rule of law despite their pretensions to the contrary.
