In the wake of an ever-burgeoning "wait for them to die" scandal within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the heavy hitters in the Obama Administration have made their priorities known; specifically, while accusations swirl of purposeful lack of medical attention to vets have resulted in needless deaths, the head honcho himself for the Department of Defense (DoD)greased the skids for a convicted turncoat to receive a taxpayer subsidized sex change operation. As reported on May 14, 2014 by both the Toronto, Canada-based The Globe and Mail and also the USA TODAY news portal, convicted renegade soldier Bradley Manning could soon be transferred to a civilian hospital on the orders the Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, according to two Pentagon officials speaking on grounds of anonymity.
In an announcement by Pentagon press secretary Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby, "the Secretary approved a request by Army leadership to evaluate potential treatment options for inmates diagnosed with gender dysphoria." If and when approved, Manning will be transferred from the Leavenworth, Kansas military prison (officially deemed the United States Disciplinary Barracks) to a yet to be identified civilian hospital for Manning's sexual reassignment surgery. Reportedly, Secretary Hagel personally gave the official thumb's up last month for the Army "to try to work out a transfer plan with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, which does provide such treatment."

if you are convicted of crimes and are in prison, don’t you lose certain rights? Such as the right to sex change operations???? what kind of world are we living in????
Some animals are more equal than others especially the sexual perverts of all stripes.
Beyond belief.
.......my god, if this doesn’t cause a taxpayer revolt what will?
..........this is an “IN YOUR FACE MOMENT” of this Administration to the American People...........
This is BS. However, it has nothing to do with the VA. Two separate agencies. Bureau of Prisons is doing this surgery. The Veteran’s Administration is the murderer.
This goon didn’t even talk about sex change operation until AFTER he was convicted. What a farce.
“if you are convicted of crimes and are in prison, dont you lose certain rights? “
You don’t lose rights that move forward the left’s agenda. There’s another thread today about leaving prison but still being covered by health insurance.
It won’t cause a revolt
1. People think the vets should take care of it that they shouldn’t be so passive See Greg Gutfeld yesterday the Five for a typical musing
2. People have proven they are not caring about the country
3. This is nothing new. Been an awful place for a long time
To be clear, the vets work for us. Their whole philosophy is service. They accept whatever we, their bosses, think is best for them
The Pentagon chair polishers - ever watchful of their promotions, perks, and salaries - are intent on demonstrating their fealty to the arch-nincompoop Obama, and coddle marginal characters in politically targeted populations before serving our heroes.
I’m fine with them castrating him. After that they can wait for the next operation.
Priorities, priorities.
Cut the guy’s ‘nads off and leave it at that.
Notice the sleight of hand:
FTA:potential treatment options for inmates diagnosed with gender dysphoria.
Oh, its a mental disorder?
It is if you want treatment in prison. Not so much if you are on the street. Then, it is normal.
Me too, so long as it’s done without anaesthetic .
Is this one of those readiness priorites that put the commissaries on the chopping block?
Yeah, I know different agencies but so what, it shows what kind of funding and services are considered important in the corrupt beast.mil framework of dysfunction and destruction.
Meanwhile, basic compensation (housing, commissaries, health care) for veterans, retirees, active duty and their families that has been integral to the whole military income package is dismissed as “benefits we can no longer afford”.
